The Absurd Social-Distancing Project: A Crowd-Sourced Audio Version Of Sterile Pause

Why Am I Doing This? (click for an explanation)

This is not the most elegant structure, but I have tried to make it as easy as 1-2-3.

(I) Make sure you have the book. If you do not, you can get the Kindle edition on Amazon (it’s free on for Kindle Unlimited members and $0.99 for everyone else). If you hate it, hey I understand. I will refund your money, but I still hope you will participate.

(II) Select the chapter you are going to read and claim it on this spreadsheet.

(III) Submit your audio recording of your chapter. If you are kind enough to record a chapter, I think it would be best if they all followed the same format. Chapter (number) (title) (story). Other than that, there are no directions. Make it whatever you want.

LISTEN TO SOME EARLY SUBMISSIONS (they won’t make sense, but the reads are great!)

Submit Your Audio Chapter

I am not sure how this will play out. So, I am asking for basic information in case I need to contact you and social information in case the opportunity arises where I can tag you. Please follow the business page or feel free to send a friend request to my personal page on Facebook and my personal/business page on Twitter. If you have any problems with the form, please contact me.

Why Am I Doing This?

Years ago, I wrote a book. It was ridiculous then, it is worse now. It was always about being absurd.

In these absurd times, and so many people at home, I thought, why not try to make a crowd-sourced audio version.

There are 72 chapters. Most are just a couple of hundred words.

But if I can get 72 people to do a chapter - boom we’re done, and you can add it to your IMDB page.

This is for fun, not for profit.

I do not have a way to get you the book for free, but it is on Kindle for $0.99 and free for Kindle Unlimited Members. I am sure the formatting is awful. If you hate it, I will give you your money back.

Even if you do hate it, I hope you consider submitting a chapter to the audio book.

Just trying to make this situation a little more fun for everyone.
